SPHK:s LONG DISTANCE COMPETITION
March 5-9 th 2012
Welcome to a long distance competition over 160 and 300 km in nice environments, bare mountain regions and magnificent forests. Start and finish is at the camping ground in Särna in the middle of Sweden. The race is open for purebred Alaskan malamute, Greenland dogs, Samoyed and Siberian husky.
All participants have to carry all food and equipment necessary for themselves and the dogs to complete the race. There are no depots along the trail. On checkpoints there will be access to water and straw. Help from others during the race is not allowed.
The racetrack is on marked trails around Särna.
First start is on Monday the 5th of March and the latest finish time is on Friday 9th of March at 12:00.

The starting fee includes breakfast at start and musher dinner Friday 9th of March. Maps can be bought at Särna camping before start.

The race marshal have the right to cancel the competition or to put classes together when less participants than necessary.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellation before 31 December: No cost
- Cancellation January 1 to February 4: 500 SEK in administration fee
- Cancellation from 5 Feb - start: 500 SEK in administration fee AND veterinary or medical certificate
- Swiching of musher or class: 250 SEK
