SPHK:s LONGDISTANCE COMPETITION
POLARDISTANCE 160 km - POLARDISTANCE 300 km - POLARDISTANCE 400 KM
March 10 - 15 th 2008
Welcome to a longdistance competition over 160, 300 eller 400 km in nice environments, bare mountain regions and magnificent forests. Start and finish is in the campingground in Särna in the middle of Sweden The race is open for purebreeds of Alaskan Malamute, Greenland Dogs, Samoyed and Siberian Husky.
All paticipants have to to carry all food and equipment for themselves and the dogs necessary to complete the race. There are no depots along the trail. On checkpoints there will be access to water. Help from others during the race is not allowed.
The racetrack is on marked trails around Särna.
First start is on Tuesday the 11th of March at 09.00 am.
