Prize ceremony


 

At the end of the banquet, when everyone was pleased and satisfied after food and drink, the prize ceremony took place. The mushers placed as no 1-3 all got a prize cup. They also got dog food from the main sponsor Husse, their food for hard working dogs, Husse Optimal. The winner got a basket filled with food from ICA Idre and number two and three got a leash or a dog collar from MR Koppel. As there were a few classes that had no prize winners many of the other mushers also got dog food Husse Optimal. All mushers got an original memory plaquete with the trail map in a wooden stand with the Polardistans race logo. The last musher over the finish line also got a prize, a basket with food from ICA Idre.

 

A prize from Eskipot trail to the total best time in pulka 300 km which was founded by Ulf Jönsson was finally captured by Sverre N Moe, Norway. Former winners are Annika Carlsson, Sweden (2002), Rupert Hirschberg, Germany (2003), Stephan Ziesel, Germany (2004), Sverre N Moe, Norway (2005), Stephan Ziesel, Germany (2006), Sverre N Moe, Norway (2007) and finally this year Sverre N Moe. Congratulations to Sverre for this good performance!
There has been a corresponding prize for nome style 300 km. It ended up with Karsten Grönås after he had won three times.

During the prize ceremony the drawing in the lottery of the bicycle-/ski vehicle from Nordic cab and the dog cage (for car) from PRIMEK took place. Winner of the bicycle-/ski vehicle was Patrik Skarped and winner of the dog cage was Evert Larsson.
